Gum assessment
We check your gum recession and sensitivity, review your recent X-rays, and confirm you're a good candidate. Any active gum disease is treated first.

Numb the area
We use local anesthetic so the treatment is comfortable. Most patients feel only light pressure.

Bio-stimulation
A series of very small injections places a biocompatible filler along the gumline, stimulating your body's own collagen to help rebuild gum tissue.

Recheck and maintenance
We book a follow-up to track your progress. Depending on how much recession you have, you may need up to three short sessions spaced a few weeks apart, with light maintenance later.

Gum Builder™ is an elective treatment, so it's usually not covered by dental insurance and is billed as an out-of-pocket service. We'll give you an exact price up front, and CareCredit is available to split it into monthly payments. 01Is this surgery?
No. Gum Builder™ is completely non-surgical. There's no cutting, no stitches and no gum graft. It's given as small injections, similar in feel to other dental numbing.
02Does it hurt, and is there downtime?
We numb the area first, so most patients are comfortable throughout. Afterward your gums may feel slightly swollen or tender for a day or so, which is easily managed with Tylenol or ibuprofen if needed. Most people return to normal activities right away.
03When will I see results?
Many patients notice less sensitivity within a few days, with gum improvement developing over about 4 to 6 weeks. For more advanced recession, more than one session may be recommended. Gum Builder™ is a great alternative for people who want to avoid gum surgery, but it isn't a replacement for surgery in severe cases. We'll tell you honestly which is right for you.
